Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information ReCellZone, a service of Cell Zone USA ("we," "us"), collects when you use recellzone.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. ReCellZone is a business-to-business service for repair shops, resellers, and wholesalers.

Who we are

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run accounts, process orders, and pay you.

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, business or mailing address, and a password. We store passwords only as a one-way hash, never in plain text.
  • Order details: the screens and devices you send us, quantities, serial numbers or IMEIs where you enter them, your ship-from and return addresses, and the carrier and tracking number you add.
  • Payout details: the PayPal email, Zelle account, or Cash App tag you give us so we can pay you, and for older accounts that already use it, a check payee and mailing address.
  • Payment records: for refurbishing quotes paid through PayPal, the transaction reference, status, amount, and date that PayPal reports to us. For payments you report sending by Zelle or Cash App, the reference and sender name you give us. We do not store card numbers.
  • Files you upload: a return label (PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, or BMP) if you decline an offer and send us one.
  • Messages: the content of emails you send to support, and our own order emails to you.
  • Technical data: your IP address, used for rate limiting and security, and the session cookie (see below).
  • Staff activity records: when our staff act on your order, we record what changed and when, so we can explain what happened to an order.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • create and secure your account and verify who is logging in;
  • receive, test, grade, quote, refurbish, and return your screens;
  • send your payout or collect payment for a quote;
  • send transactional email such as order updates, password resets, and staff invitations;
  • prevent abuse, such as repeated login or registration attempts;
  • keep business, tax, and accounting records and comply with the law.

Cookies and tracking

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. The cookie is marked HTTP-only, is sent only over a secure connection on the live site, and ends when you close your browser. It is necessary for the site to work. To protect forms from cross-site request forgery, we also use a token tied to your session; your browser sends it in a request header, and it is not stored as a cookie.

We do not run advertising or analytics scripts on the site at the time of this policy, and we do not use advertising cookies.

Third parties that receive information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the services needed to run ReCellZone.

  • PayPal, Zelle, and Cash App: to receive payments from you or to pay you. Their own privacy policies apply to your use of those services.
  • Our email provider: we send email through an SMTP service so that account and order messages reach you.
  • Shipping: if we create a prepaid shipping label for you, we send your name, address, and phone number to our shipping label provider, EasyPost, and to the carrier. Prepaid labels are currently turned off, so you ship with the carrier you choose.
  • Google Fonts: your browser loads fonts from Google when you visit the site, which means Google receives your IP address and browser information.
  • Google Maps: the contact and about pages embed a Google map, which can set cookies and receive your IP address when the map loads.
  • Our hosting provider and content delivery network, which handle site traffic on our behalf.
  • Professional advisors, courts, and authorities, when we need legal advice or are required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to handle warranty claims, disputes, taxes, and accounting. We then delete or de-identify them where we reasonably can. Backups may keep copies for a short additional time.

How we protect information

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, limits on repeated login attempts, and restricted staff accounts with an activity record. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.

Your choices

You can review and update your account details in your account settings. To correct information we hold, ask us to delete your account, or ask what we hold about you, email [email protected]. We may need to keep some records after a deletion request to meet legal, tax, or dispute obligations, and we will tell you when that applies.

You can opt out of non-essential email by contacting us. We will still send messages about your orders and your account.

Residents of some states have additional privacy rights under state law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you believe a right applies to you, contact us and we will respond as the law requires.

Children

ReCellZone is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. We will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will also notify account holders by email.
